FS Hardware effects racks. Dynacord, MXR, DACS, etc.
|Last year I went on a bit of a hardware effects buying spree. I bought a bunch listed here and also bought a bunch of eurorack ones which I've since sold.
It turns out for me, hardware effects are great to look at and fun to collect, but I almost never use them while I'm doing my thing and don't think I use them enough to justify keeping them.
All items ship from Edmonton AB, Canada. Prices include paypal fees and shipping to North America. Worldwide can be arranged, especially for smaller things, put you pay the full ride and Canadian shipping can be ridiculously expensive. Email for pics.
Trades? Maybe a Pulse 2 (550), MS20mini (500). Maybe Filterbank 2 (550), Monomachine MK1 (600), Drumstation V2 (300) or VSynth XT (1050) Maybe but cash still preferred.
Strymon El Capistan (Version 1) with original power supply. 230 USD shipped. As new. I bought this new from Strymon and like a week after it shipped the V2 came out with the TRS enhancement and softer buttons.
Dacs Modual8 Ring Modulator and EQ. 325 USD shipped. The cheapest way to get into the DACS magic sound of their much more expensive Freque boxes. Ring modulation of course but also has its famous "Weight" and "Edge" EQ controls in a single rack. This one is modded so its jacks are also in the front of the unit. So you can just put it in your rack with your modular and go to town.
Jomox T-Resonator Mk1 SOLD
MTI "Analog String Ensemble" 300 USD. This is an awkward size rack unit from the late 70s that you put stuff through to give you the classic "ensemble" sound. It's slightly larger than a half rack so is probably best as a table top thing. It has Wet and Dry outputs and then you mix them together as you like. The Wet output is quieter than the Dry but am not sure if this is normal or not.
Dynacord DRS-78 700 USD. Digital Delay/Reverb from early 80s with lots of cool, trigger and pedal functions. Many delays and a great, gritty dark reverb but you can only use one at a time. This is the going rate without shipping for these on Ebay not even looking as nice and mine was serviced right before purchase. This is a nice looking and sounding example. This is one of the more reluctant sales so the price is firmer than the other pieces. But if you always wanted one, and these are quite rare in North America, now's your chance.
MXR 126 500 USD. The classic blue face flanger/doubler. Check out its beautiful condition in the pictures. Creams and sheens everything beautifully. I should use it much more but never seem to use my hardware stuff. Another more reluctant sale so this is the price to get it out the door.
