Here's the recording for Episode 174 - Beyond the Event Horizon, which is sort of a sequel to Episode 170 - Event Horizon

In this episode the repeater was used to loop and layer sounds, and for live time-stretching as I gradually slowed the tempo down to one sixth of it's original setting and then gradually speeded it back up

Here's a studio shot, even though most of it was off, as I just used the DS8, Wavestation and XL7 for sounds

This one is apparently some 'wild noise'! For this show I used: OP-1, ipad, running ANS and proloop loaded with vcs3 samples and BugBrand Board Weevil 2009. Everything was run through the BugBrand MicroCrusher and BugBrand PT Delay 2011. Prepare for sonic attack...

This one was only ipad and machinedrum, ipad connected to md inputs, then md into computer.

iPad apps used: Samplr, Animoog and Virtual ANS. Sampled my voice and some flute, and also the sound from the speakers at one point - using the mic on the ipad. Also used some samples from a crowd of people at a party.

ANS is pretty cool! There is also a version for PC, OSX, Linux and Android. Besides the iPad version I've been messing around with the Windows version. Basically the same. PC version is standalone.

Number 179 this was, if I'm not mistaken. Featuring my brand new Evolver synth.

The rhythm is based on a few numbers with a common factor of 60. So the hits lie on every 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 15 and 20 beats, i think. It started out as a pristine symmetric thing but I added to it before going on air.

Tonight's episode of Adventures In Sound is a tryout for some ideas for tomorrow's Voyager night gig in Leicester and is entitled 'Prelude to Voyager'

'Prelude to Voyager' used op-1 and ipad (running addictive, alchemy, monnix, photonoise and samplewiz) through pandora mini into dd-20 for looping, mixed with tetra sequenced by tenorio-on and er-1 for drums, all processed by wedge



It starts off all weird and spacey, but by about a third of the way through it goes a bit weird and sequencey, then sort of recovers near the end

Tonight's Adventures In Sound is entitled '171923' and will be an experiment in asynchronous looping using 3 sound sources run into 3 DD-20 delay pedals with loop delay times of 17, 19 and 23 seconds

For episode 182, '171923' I used 2 ipads and an op-1 routed to 3 dd-20s, with with loop lengths of 17, 19 and 23 seconds, mixed and run through a wedge for reverb, delay and pan
