I understand the Status module method but I swear I made a patch at some stage which allowed notes to "ring out" and not get cut off by the next without using multiple sequencers.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hi there guys,

Been a 'sleeping member', regularly visiting for synthstuff, not having a G2, until a few months ago. Very happy with the G2X, it's incredible.. the virus got me again. A few years ago I had to sell my g2x and engine, and missed them alot.

Anyway, I too had been grindin on poly sequencers, and came up with this patch.
If anyone should find this topic, perhaps it's useful

I made use of the midi outs i.c.w. the windowswitches to 'capture' the voice number and the notes to be played. It's similar to Rob's patch posted earlier, but with this one there's more freedom of note choice / velocity with the status module now actively involved in voice area instead of FX sequencing. I can edit things per voice as it's predictable which voice goes to which output.. but only when the patch is first loaded and no key is pressed.

As soon as I press a key, the voice order messes up and preditabillity is gone. Setting the patch to mono and back to 8 voices, will reset the voice nr sequence back to sequential mode

The 3rd patch is about as much voices as I can get out of the G2x, 8 voices with this patch inc. the extra's. Deleting all but the necessary, the osc's and lfo's and quantizers etc, gives 16 voices which will lower to ~12-14 when sending the notes to another slot with a reasonably low cost synth patch

I like the 2nd patch over the 3rd, as it can handle 16 voices. all the redundant voices are now used for smooth fade out of the release notes.. can hardly hear a voice stealing effect
