Hi Guys,

I have the rack ears for my G1 but no screws to connect the ears to the G1.

Can anyone help me out with what size/type screws to use.

Cheers

Andy

I bought a pack of "rack screws" at a music store, if I can find the pack I'll post the information. These are a standard thread size though. Try asking at a music store that sells lots of rack gear. Chances are they may sell the screws.

I ended up just trying out a variety of screws from the 'leftover' screw box and managed to find 4 screws that did the business.

I had the same trouble - 6/32 UNC bolts seem to work OK.

I'm not totally sure if this is 100% correct to whatever would have been supplied originally but they seem to work OK on mine. You need to make sure the bolt heads are wide enough not to slip through the ear mounting holes, or use washers of course.

I took Dave Peck's advise from another thread and used a rack shelf that I had in the garage. It's slightly too wide but will serve my purpose. Good one, Dave!

Hey hey! Good news. I found a cheap and somewhat easy replacement for only $4. Home Depot sells these building construction ties that worked nicely: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-Strong-Tie-GA2-18-Gauge-3-1-4-in-Gusset-Angle-GA2/100375243

After a bit of drilling and fidgeting, I got them work quite well. See my image below of two Racks in the case.

Hope this helps you!
