I'm sure this has been asked, but I was wondering what the practical limit of cc's being received simulatnously before the G2 stops responding. I heard something in the 40 range mentioned, but I can't recall for sure.

My second question is what happens when this maximum is exceeded? (I may find this out very soon)

I'm trying to control my engine with midi controllers and want to know how to best utilize midi to control more than 127 parameters remotely (I'm doing an RPN approach).

Any takers?

I think it's more a question of how many MIDI events per second the microcontroller can process. If you put a CtrlSend module in one slot and a CtrlRcv in another, my recollection is that the maximum possible rate of signal change is about 1khz. So that's one send and one receive every millisecond. That (and other experiments I can't recall) made me conjecture that the MIDI task in the OS is activated every millisecond.

So I would guess that the maximum receive rate is one CC change every millisecond. I don't think that the actual number of CC# that send/tag those signals matters. So you can use a lot of CC# but you can't ask them to change fast.
