Updated to iOS 8 on my iPads only to find out that it killed some of the web videos that I used to watch via the HDMI adapter. YouTube seems to work fine but other sites don't. The audio gets passed thru but not the video.

I'm hoping that Apple fixes this real fast. Crying or Very sad

I searched before updating and found nothing alluding to this problem ... until AFTER I updated...

Thanks for the heads up. Hope it gets cleared up soon.

I'm still on iOS 6. Confused

7 worked ok. A lot of apps are giving Audiobus initialization errors... Some developers were on the ball and had updates out already. Others like, Moog, Arturia, Camel, etc. didn't. Camel says Alchemy is waiting on Apple approval. Moog is saying another week (slackers). Arturia...who knows?

There are a bunch though...not just them.

I am waiting until IOS 8.1, at the very earliest to update, or until I am forced to by all the apps I use regularly. I now have 3 apps that refuse to sync with my IOS 7 iPad because their developers messed up and made them IOS 8 exclusive, with no regard for backward compatibility. no no

Came across this artice about possibling going back to iOS 7.1.2...

http://osxdaily.com/2014/09/21/downgrade-ios-8-back-to-ios-7-1-2/

I might do this for the iPad 2 ( the one my wife claimed) - At least then we can watch some of the videos we want (The Knick which happens to have our granddaughters in it Smile

So my iPad 2 external HDMI video is still broken for most everything except YouTube. Even the latest update didn't fix it. Good news is I purchased an HDMI adapter for the iPad 4 (works on our iPhone 5 as well) and the video does output correctly. Smile So it apoears something in iOS 8 Safari is killing external hi-def video output. Sad
