Hi,

You need to bypass the clock pulses input that come in your sequencer to park it on the desired step. You can use a switch, a lfo, etc... to do it. In the exemple above, I use a mixer with the 'chain input' to stop the sequencer on the last step. You can add another sequencer if you need to stop it on step 1.

I wish this is what you need. Have a nice day!

first off, thanks for your reply!

i deal with this by stopping my clock via cc controlled by an lfo.
the results are trial an error with the lfo, so i´d prefer to say i.e. step 5 should be repeated 3 times and then the clock starts again.

simply don´t find a way to achieve this.....

I supose that you only want the step 5 to be park every time the loop is repeated ?

and I supose that you want the loop need to finish before to restart to the 1st step ? or you need this sequencer to restart to the 1st step at the same time that an other main sequencer ?

Btw, there is another exemple ..

i tried your patch and i get the idea...

i´d prefer a simple 16 step sequenzer where i can switch a note repeat of 1-8 repeats on every single step.
after the note is repeated, the next step should play...

guess there´ll be more guessing and expermentation coming up...Smile

thanks

Here is an oblique method.

Using basic logic blocks to make a sequencer from scratch.

Only 4 steps and I think I have the connections to the multiplexer wrong but you should get the basic idea.

I'm trying something similar inspired by the intellijel metropolis.
But I can't seem to stabilize the loop reset. When changing the note length (assigned to a1 buttons) the "park" gets switched off an the sequence gets garbled.

I think it's a timing issue, hence the conversion to pulses

Here's a quick'n'dirty literal implementation of your description.

It's a 16-step sequencer with selectable repeats (0-63) per value step.

The sequencer gate rows are also usefully implemented to activate value steps (or skip them if deactivated) and activate repeats (or discard them). Warning: If all value steps are deactivated, the sequencer will race at 24kHz. Laughing

Also, there is a selectable trigger output that either outputs all clock pulses or only those for new value steps, making the circuit also usable as a selectable-step-length sequencer.

There's also a reset button that resets the sequencer counters on the next received clock pulse.

Hope this is what you're looking for.

cheers,
t

Wow, that's very close!

I've done some small adjustments which make it even closer to the metropolis. A level amplifier on the repeats to have more granular control (about 8 steps now) and an extra sequencer to control the trigger select per step.

Ditching mine as this is much better Very Happy
