Ok so i have a cheap Ion drum set from a few years ago. Ive used the kick drum and HiHat pedals to change the effects banks for the old iRig program years ago. I would like to expand on this idea and create a pedal board for my iPad. I use Bias fx and Jamup pro. There are 11 inputs on this controller with a usb and midi out connection. I was thinking using this Ion controller would be a simple easy too accomplish this. I would also like to build the pedals myself. The pedals would have to be a simple on off switch i assume. Would this be worth the effort? or is there a better way to go about this? ps I also have a broken line6 hd floor unit that has midi connections that i could salvage plus the expression and pedal and switches. Maybe there is a way to frankenstein something fun and useful? I've never done anything like this and i know zero about midi other than how to use the controllers.
