Hi,

Here is one of my moogerfooger MURF based patch.

I added some new features from the original pedal. If you know the MURF pedal this patch is easy to understand. No special tricks, just some nice routings !

Im a little bit lazy now. I will edit this post with all parameters soon.

Modwhell : main decay
Pitch Stick : main filter frequency

The .prf is the same performance from the video demo and the .pch is the MURF based patch.

A video demo here. I used the original organ patch as an audio source because I think everyone here know how this patch sound.

**If you don't own an expended G2, deactive slot A and change the output from slot C : BUS 3/4 to Out 1/2

Updated version with details :

The Heart of the MIDI MuRF is a bank of eight resonant bandpass filters tuned to fixed frequencies. The Animation module is a 24-Pattern sequencer triggering volume envelopes for the eight filters. The Freq Switch toggles between two banks of patterns; 12 bass patterns and 12 mid-range patterns.

MuRF stands for "Multiple Resonance Filter Array". What this means is the MuRF has 8 filters - their levels are controlled by 8 sliders. It looks like a graphic eq, but the sound of the filters are very different: warm and resonant.

Rhythmic variations can be created by adjusting the levels of the filters. The Envelope control sets the shape of the modulation, which can be set for percolating techno rhythmic modulation or shimmering timbral morphing. Other controls include Input Drive, Output Level and Wet/Dry Mix.

In addition to the full range of Control Voltage inputs, it also suports an extensive MIDI implementation. Create tempo-synced filter sequences with MIDI Clock Sync. Change patterns with MIDI Program Change messages. Control front panel knob settings with MIDI CC messages and play the filters in real-time with MIDI Note On commands.

In the BASS voicing, the lowest filter acts as a lowpass filter with a cutoff frequency of 110 Hz. This is ideal for bass players or bass sounds that need to retain the presence of all their lowest frequencies.
The remaining seven filters are resonant filters with center frequencies of 160, 240, 350, 525, 775, 1200 and 1800 Hz.
In the MIDS voicing, all 8 filters act as resonant filters with center frequencies of 200, 300, 450, 675, 1000, 1500, 2200, and 3400 Hz.

Parameter Pages

All modules identified with "*" means that other parameters can be modulated on this module. Because the number of assignable parameters on the 'parameter pages' you need to use a small key combination for quick access to other parameters.

Morph Groups :

1.Wheel : Main Envelope Decay
2.Main Resonance Filter
3.Main Attack Envelope
4.Main Decay Envelope
5.Filter pitch modulation (assigned to LFO)
6.-
7.Pitch Stick : Main Filter frequency
8.-

A1
-8 bands array of resonant filters. Adjust frequency for each filter.
*(you can adjust others parameters as slope, KBT, etc...)
note : frequencies are locked on the real MF-105M MIDI MuRF
A2
-*Sets the envelope shape for each pattern (AHR)
A3
-Adjusts the output level for each filter
*Adjust the panning L/R for each filter
*Adjust the main output for band 1-4 and 5-8

B1
-Filter pitch modulation (assigned to LFO)
-LFO rate and waveform
B2
-LFO filter pitch modulation for each frequency bands
B3
-Pattern Clock Rate from each frequency bands

C1
*Edit PATTERN (16 steps) for each frequency bands
*Adjust decay envelope for each steps (16 steps) from each frequency band
*Adjust PATTERN lenght from each frequency bands
C2
-Adjust main velocity for each PATTERN from each frequency band
C3
*Adjust ducking delay (Rate, Feedback, etc..) from each frequency band

D1
-Adjust feedback level
D2
*Adjust delay parameters (rate, feedback, filter HP/LP)
D3
*Adjust envelope (AHD) for ducking delay from each frequency band (stop feedback when the frequency band is triggered)

E1
*Active and adjust saturation curve and level for bands 1-4 and 5-8 before process
*Active and adjust saturation curve and level for left and right chanels after process
*Active and adjust the compressor parameters after process
E2
-VUmeter before/after process
E3
-Main Volume
-In 1-4 and 5-8
-Out 1-8

I added functions with variations progression ( 1 to 8 )

Variation 1 : All frequencies (from low to high) are trigered 2 times by order in a 16 steps sequence
Variation 2 : + ducking delay
Variation 3 : + Main LFO on filter frequencies
Variation 4 : + Decay for each step from each frequency band
Variation 5 : + Saturation before/after process
Variation 6 : + Resonance increased, LFO ammont on filter frequencies increased, etc...
Variation 7 : Smile
Variation 8 : compress

To Do :

-Add LFO from each frequency band
-Add LFO for PAN from each frequency band
-Add Sync Reset for PATTERNs rate change (sync every BAR)
-Add overdrive module before process 1-4 and 5-8

Tips : VA and FX section can be split to use 2 different stereo channel sources (2 X 4 frequencies bands) or it's can be used as 1 stereo effect / 4 bands for secion (VA = Left and FX = Right).
