Hi, well, I can't get Nomad to work on my MacPro running Lion, so I thought I'd try a different tack, and install VirtualBox, and Ubuntu Linux. Then, I realised how much of a hassle using MIDI hardware in Linux is....

Anyone ever got this kind of setup to work? I have the latest Ubuntu (11.10 I think), and a MIDISport 2x2. I have another MIDI interface handling note input to the Nord Modular, so the MIDISport can be dedicated to just handling patch-editing data. Maybe this is a stupid thing to try- I'm starting to think it might be Sad

Any tips, anyone?

Cheer,

I would love to get this working in Raspbian. The problem is that I cannot specify the midi interface under Settings in the Linux version as I can in the Mac version. I know that Raspbian can see the interface because I can send midi out with a Web Midi app. Anyone know how to do this?

OK, I found the answer in another thread: File>New>Synth> Nord Modular, or Control/Shift/N. Then you get the little red keyboard, wrench, and yellow triangle icons in the lower right like you see on the Mac version. It works!
