AmbiophonicDSP rocks! |

Hey, thanks Mosc! I got my download of ambiophonicDSP V1.2, unzipped it and loaded it with WinAmp. Even though I was astounded by free implementations of RACE, I was 20x more astounded by yours! In one song where I thought it was a cow bell , it turned out to be a metronome with distortion! So many more things, but I could write a book on my experiences thus far now! Another thing is that I am able to get the same sound stage in the back of the room and a little bit off to the sides as I do up front! That is something I wasn't able to do with the other DSP plugins. It would quickly go to mono if I moved more than half way back in the room. Also, there is much better integration of bass probably because there are recursive cancellation signals coming from the woofers as well. Iv'e got over $9000 into my listening room (I live by myself so that would be my living room haha) and it is really beginning to sound like it! The attack is much better, the decay is much better, the sustain is much better, a lot of the boominess has cleared up. I will, however, most likely invest in diaphragmatic bass traps and diffusers for the mids and the highs. Sheetrock walls aren't the best thing to have in your listening room... But, anyway, traps and panels should fix it! O.K., back to the ambiophonicDSP, to those who are still skeptical about how good this is, they cannot know what they are missing out on! It does not add anything to your music, it does not color it, but RESTORES the original stereo sound! That is the best way I can explain it! Screw the free ambiophonic implementations (though they are good for a taste) because the ambiophonicDSP VST nails it the rest of the way home!!! That and it looks pro. Thats all I can really put in writing! Happy holidays, everyone! |
