Here's another small project I have been working on, it's my version of an Arduino based MIDI-CV converter.
I built it on stripboard, and have been using it with my Soundlab. It can be powered from a 9V battery.

Note that you need the arduino MIDI library installed.
I'm using a 12 bit SPI dac MCP 4821.
