Hello!

This is RhythmMaster 85S (S mean simplified) device. It makes hi-hat and snare beats out of white noise generated by TL-431.

Full version have external clock source and bass drum generator with sidechaining feature. Still in progress.

1. When you will turn on this device, you will hear white noise with periodic scratches. If you do not hear the scratches, just wait until ATTiny85 will warm up or cold down.

2. Turn the knob, it will change beats.

3. Push the buttont once, it will change knob mode. In this mode turn the knob, it will change decay.

4. Push the button, hold it and turn the knob, it will change tempo.

To make it more interesting, play with envelope forms and noise timbre.

I'm always using 16mHz. In this project you don't need bootloader, because there are no USB port, only power from USB. Use another Arduino as programmer or use USBasp - the best.

Hidiho Hammer,
wich transistor is right 2x 3904 npn or 2x3906 pnp
in your schematic you have 1 x3904 and 1x3906
but the symbol is for 2 x3906
thanks

Still without tom, but it will be soon.

I've used for tom/kick Wien bridge based oscillator. I'ts working great with 4069. Only sidechaining part of the main circuit still isn't ready.

But I started to make case out of e-bike controller box. Sides are laser cutted vinyl.

Thank you, PHOBoS!

A lot of interesting stuff could be cutted out of vinyl: https://www.instagram.com/youcantignoremytechno/

But it's not easy beacuse of releasing chlorine and condensating hydrochloric acid. CNC should be very good oiled, smoke should not stay in the room. Otherwise everything will be covered by rust.

All functions are here: hi-hat, snare, kick and compressor. It's noisy because I still hold some wires in hand. Now I can solder all parts together, and draw the circuit diagram.

I've made the 4069 VCA for BassMaster:

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

I think, that this is the way to shrinkify RhythmMaster!
