Stumped by where to connect Scott's mod Frequency outputs Embarassed

For ease of reference I attach the Rene Schmitz schematic for a single filter and the schematic from Scott's site showing my points of loss of comprehension.

Scott’s schematic shown is for a switch to configure a dual filter (as per schematic of a single one also attached):

A brief explanation for ease of reference: The three position toggle switch (DPDT on-on-on) selects how the Freq A and Freq B controls work:-

Bottom 'Independent' (Ind) position: Freq A and Freq B controls operate indepenently so the module behaves as two separate filters.

Middle 'Tandem' (Tan) position: Freq A control also controls the cutoff frequency of Filter B. Freq B control offsets between the two filter cutoff frequencies.

Up ’Tandem/Spread' (Tan/S) position: Freq B control also controls the cutoff frequency of Filter A - but in an inverse manner. This has the effect of widening (or narrowing, depending on the cutoff frequencies' original value) the distance of one filter's cutoff frequency from the other. The Freq A control will still adjust the cutoff frequency of Filter A and B in tandem.

Thanks to Scott Stites and Rene Schmitz for making their designs available. The dual filter sounds great and I hope to build it soon!

Output A (or B) connects to one of the 100K resistors at the CV mixer in Rene Schmitz' schematic. You could use the one labeled 'pitch' for example.

BTW, this gives the MS20 VCF the "Separation" feature that is found on the Oscar synthesizer.

Hey vtl5c3

Have heard of the Oscar's reputation but never had the opportunity to use one. Scott's website describes and has samples of some very interesting overtones that he uses the filter for and it has a great sound to it.

Think it will be well worth getting my head around the wiring of the dual version!
