Dear Yves and fellow E-M'ers,

Bumping Roman's question.

I am building the Bridechamber PCB for CV Standards. I am sourcing my own parts and was wondering if you had a specific recommendation for the rotary switches? Should these be shorting or non-shorting types? I guessed non-shorting (i.e., break before make type), but I am not sure if that is correct. If any one happens to have a part number for one that you know works well that would be great.

So, Make Before Break are is good for audio in order to avoid clicks and Break Before Make are for avoiding shorts that may damage components
If you already bought some MBB switches, apparently, diodes can prevent damages like said here :
