Hello. I'm having trouble getting the clock signal. When testing in steps 3 and 4 - When R54 (Clock Rate) is set for highest rate (R54 essentially shorted) clock signal should appear at pin 12 of IC13-F.
Clock should appear at pin 10 of IC13-E. On pin10 instead of clock I have 10v and on pin12 0v. After pressing the Start button, the capacitors C16, C17 charge and hold voltage all the time, the clock signal is not discharged and triggered. After a manual short-circuit of the capacitors and a voltage drop, a clock pulse is triggered, but the capacitors do not recharge.
The Step button works correctly.
CD40106 replaced twice.

welcome to the forum!

I'm guessing you will receive more answers if you add a circuit diagram to your post or at least a link to it.

Problem solved. Damaged CR13. The whole came alive and works great. I recommend building this beast Smile

And a beast it is! I did it on stripboard, took me quite a while. Especially the panel with 32 pots, switches and LEDs.

I modded it to make it external clockable, which was quite easy using one or two of the unused schmitt triggers.
