This is part of a larger guide I've published, but I wanted to call attention to this piece because it addresses a topic many are struggling with...

In summary: OBS does not "see" multichannel audio the way you might expect from working with other applications like DAWs. OBS is not a DAW, and it does not appear to have been designed with very much audio capability in mind.

I chose to approach everything from a two-track perspective, using my audio interface utilities to do any mixing. This approach is rock solid. Mileage may vary with different interfaces, but others should be able to mirror this setup.
