hi all, i'm new to the list...

what is the best way to have two, mixed constants (each with its own individual bias), flip flop back and forth so that only one is modifying a control input at a time?

i'm on the right track with this, but I can't seem to get it quite right.

i'd appreciate any help.

james

First, welcome to electro-music.com and to the world of G2.

There are many ways to do what you are trying to do. Here is one of them.

There is a level compare module that is tracking a sine wave LFO. When it goes above 0, the output goes to 64 which controls a 2-1 switch which is connected to two constant modules. The osc gets one or the other constant voltages.

Shows how to use the 2-1 switch with a level comparitor.

Welcome James.

There are several possibilities, it depends on what you want exactly.

When you want a manual switch just take the sw2-1 module from the switches page.

When it has to be automatic you could use a valSw2-1 or an X-fade and control one of those from a LFO or something.

When it has to toggle with a push button you could use a flip flop module for that in divide by two mode - this is described in the help file in the module reference in the flip-flop section, near the end.

One of the ff's outputs could then control the x-fade or the valsw, and the ff's input would be taken from a momentary action switch then.

Jan.

James, the forum tried to send you an email message about responses to this topic. It was bounced back because of quota exceeded on your inbox. Thought you'd want to know.
