I was reading about a DIY, dual frequency shifter on the WEB. The author suggested one use would be to shift up -> fixed filter -> shift down to get a sweepable fixed filter.

This is illustrated in the attached patch. Not so useful in the absence of a fixed filter module, but perhaps someone can think of a use anyway.

One thought was to add a second vocoder with its bands shifted to in-between frequencies, to get a 32 band vocoder. Would need to shift a copy of the modulator as well. Just a thought.

You could get strange effects by shifting down or way up until either aliasing (or anti-aliasing filters) kick in, then shift back for the result.
