I would like to be able to use logic signals as a means of switching between glide on and off. I'm not sure if I'm headed down the right path or not, but I tried using the "glide on" logic input on the glide module with no luck. I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding how to use this input, or if there is a bug, or both. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have included a small example patch, which at the very least should turn glide on when the first key is pressed. I'm thinking this must be a bug. Even if it is, the intended functionality of this input may not be what I am intending. It might only turn the glide on, not toggle on/off.

Thoughts?

The onlie help says :

Quote:
Glide on

Patch a high logic signal here to activate the gliding transition between the input signal levels (if the Glide button is off). If no connection is made, the portamento can be controlled with the Glide button.

Does that help ?

almost...you have the glide switch turned off (which is correct), but you are sending a gate signal with every note on, so that it always glides.

try this one (with a toggle switch).

Thanks, guys. I had read about glide in the manual, but I have been under the misunderstand that logic signals behave like triggers on a Serge or a Buchla. I have just gone back and read the section on logic signals, and I realize that I wasn't thinking about the duration of the high state. deknow, your patch really helped illuminate where I was confused.

Thanks!

Tom
