Maybe not the biggest, but it is among the most well lit. Very Happy

Nice dramatic modular picture.

That is really a fine Moog Modular. What a beauty. Just a superb selection of modules. A very balanced large modular system.

And now for something completely different.....

(those pictures above are completely awesome - and I am SO envious of those nice professional panels)

This is a snapshot of my home-brew modular while 'noodling' this past weekend.

I have several new modules in progress, some bare PC boards ordered and lots more I'd like to add. Lots of the modules are the result of DIY collaboration on this board - Thanks for the forum electro-music!

I had a chance to play with these two at a friends place over the weekend. I have to say the VCS3 is one of the most fun synths I have ever played with. Very Happy

In a few words, could you explain why? I'm just curious what your fresh, recent impression is?

Just tweaking the knobs and patching the modules with the trapezoid generator triggering itself made for a lot of fun. I've never played with a synth that could just make sounds without the aid of a keyboard or sequencer before. The fact that this thing is nearly 40 years old and patchable without patch cords giving access to all of the controls without getting tangled in spaghetti might have had something to do with it too.

I was also quite impressed with the ease at which great sounds could be created. I know the VCS3 has a bit of a reputation as a sound effects machine but the output depends entirely on who's at the controls and on the listeners idea of musicality.

Cheers,
Adam-V

It's not what you think Howard. He's not smiling because he's in front of the Launch Control Panel at Norad, and he's on a 6-month shift. How that pic ever got out is a mystery....

Nah it's the photographers fault, instead of saying the cheese word he mumbled a bit about electricity bills and defect patch cables.

I also have to say- it's the one analogue synth, apart from the ones that I build myself, that I would love to own. My dream would be a great big white-washed room with a Synthi in the middle of it, next to a Revox A77 (for echo naturally Wink ) two large monitors on either side and/or two Leslie rotating speakers at either ends too. Ahh Heaven! Very Happy
