I powered on my SL today for the very first time. And wov it works, actually it works perfectly. Now i do not get my hands off from those knobs. It is amazing little monster with amazing sound. I just can not belive how much better it sounds compared to my va synths. Only thing i am missing is adsr
but i think i patch one Ray`s adsr in to SL. Next i have to make case for it and if i succeed to make anything sensible i will share it here. So everybody how think that they are newbies well my most advanced project before SL was microphone cable. My advice for everyone is use Rays pcb`s.
THANKS RAY !!!

What would be good place to ad cv input to control
velocity? And have enyone think to ad memory to
SL (it simply generates so many good sounds that it would be
nice to store few of them).JH makes memory to his exellent
Poly Korg Clone (wery nice project)

Nice job, I'll have to agree the wiring is very nice. You don't wanna see the back of mine, it's a mess. Future projects will have more care in the wiring process. Congrats. I bought Ray's PCB also for two reasons. 1 to support the fella thats putting out all this incredible info and 2 It was high quality 2 sided no wondering if all your traces are good. I got a few more things on my plate, but it be nice to make another and do a better job.

enough about me GREAT JOB!!!!

I finally tune my Sound Lab (1V/Octave mod) and get about four
octaves as much as my doepfer MCV4 can control. I did not use
tempcos, but almost all resistors are 1% 0.6w. For musical purpose
it is awesome.

After several tests i could not find good way to integrate adsr
to my soundlab. So i decide to keep SL as it is and start to built
modular based on Rays designs. After all SL is great little synth

I'm glad to see someone else spending time doing a neat wiring job (makes me feel like less of a freak!)
I'm gonna add insertion points for my SL just based on what comes up. Check Ray's ideas for patching it out, that should give you a good idea about wiring in the ADSR. Or leave it as a stand alone synth.

OK mine sounlab works great but instead adding new components to Sounlab
(great little synth) i deside to built modular based on Ray´s designs. Now i have built few modules like osc ,adsr, vca and sequenser and they sounds great here is one poor picture in first modules in test stage.

nice panels you have - are they printed on paper or screen printed to metal maybe?

BTW are you interested on Circuit bending? - we are having a weekend workshop in helsinki whit Kokeellisen Electroniikan Seura / association of experimental electronics. we just need to find participants ... if interested send me a PM.
