Is there a time to wait for the tubes are warm before using metasonix modules ?
WHen I try using my TM-5 just after switching it on, the audio out seems very erratic, a bit strange...

A few minutes is not unreasonable to expect for things to get reasonably stable. Like 1-2 minutes. It will be quite unstable for the first minute as the tubes heat up. I don't know the TM-5 circuit but it's a high gain preamp, that is going to be a bit picky until it heats up. And it might drift a bit in operation. My S-1000 drifts over the course of hours. It's part of their charm.

If it's anything like tube guitar amps, it should take a couple of minutes. I would imagine the first 30 seconds or so would be a bit unstable.

OK I understand. I'll wait a couple of minutes so...

But it's fun to see that we must wait for the tubes to be hot (stable), whereas metasonix modules produces non-stable sounds most of the time ! It is what makes them so interesting, but what an irony don't you think ? lol Smile

When I go home, Im gonna run a sequence into the TM-7>TM-1 and record that the second I turn the units on.
I like the idea of getting sounds that wont happen after the unit has been on for a few minutes.
