I am working on a project that will involve swittching a tube in and out of a circuit. Whether I use a relay or a switch, do I need to do anything special? When the tube is switched out of the circuit, should I ground the grid that inputs the signal to the tube? I might use a pentode, should I ground the screen?

Basically, I am making a guitar preamp to use withthe TM-1 I just bought, and I want to put a switchable 6bn6 in it. Otherwise, it will be a little different that a Metasonix. I am at the very least putting in a full tone stack.
