PS3100 Resonators 2008 Subject description: SOLD OUT |
 |
|
hi all,
i had some request of a 2nd run of the PS3100 Resonators PCB. So is
there enough interest? It is.
i received enough advance-orders for a 2nd run according to our Recommendations for PCB offers on electro-music. again thank you all for your interest, i am truly overwhelmed.
current status on 7 MAY 08:
SOLD OUT
i'll send the files to the manufacturer then. it will take two more weeks to the PCBs arrival and then i will have to populate and test one. if the PCBs are fine i will PM you concerning payment (paypal preferred). if not, i will have some realy nice and fancy beermats ) anticipated date of delivery is last week of march.
the new documentation will hopefully be done this week.
the pricing would be about
europe
9.-EUR each PCB
+1x p&p 3.-EUR (2.50EUR germany)
worldwide
13.-USD each PCB
+1x p&p 7.-USD
i'd say this does not have to be your 1st project. it's a project of intermediate difficulty, i think. various options are provided by different panelwiring...

i made up my mind and decided to add an opa buffered output just for good practice. the spare opa is brought out to pads, so you may do with it whatever you want (i.e. just put it to ground or use it for inverting a cv signal). _________________

Hi matthias,
Is it possible to add a gate to the LFO ? I mean restart the cycle with a pulse or trigg.
In this way you can sync the LFO to others rhythmic patterns. |

I would like to pre-order 1 board, please. Thanks for doing this again, i'm sure it must involve a certyain amount of hassle. I wasn't around for the first run. |

this is a very simple LFO. i wouldn't know where to insert the sync signal. in fact i would have to do some research on this matter (which oscillator core is syncable and how?)... _________________

Ordinary VCOs have sawtooth cores, and there the reset trig is a natural thing happening internally every period - and hence also easy to accomplish from an external signal.
In an LFO like this with a triangle core it's not as straightforward. But perhaps you could play with either
1) discharging the integration cap C16 (to have the LFO output jump to zero, but then continuing in the direction it happened to have), or
2) sending a short spike voltage to the comparator input (left half of U4, to have the LFO continuing in a certain direction, but at the same voltage it happened to have)
Might be fun. |

PS3100 Resonators PCBs - 2nd run |
 |
|
Hey Fonik,
I'll take one, please! Looks like a fun and useful module. I know this has been addressed before, but where's the best place to get the required Vactrols?
By the way there's a neat sample by Etaoin of your PS3100 resonator board being driven by three phases from a Mankato (in LFO mode):

Good stuff!
