The other day I found this picture. I don't remember the fellow's name nor what model Arp it was. I thought maybe people in this group might be able to ID them.
Here's the background of the picture:
Around 1973 or 1974 while attending college in Boston I somehow got wind of a guy writing the operation manual for an Arp synthesizer. I was taking a photojournalism class and was very interested in synths. I met him and took his picture for class. It was taken in an old brownstone in Boston.

I think you're right. Thanks for the tip. I Googled the name and have sent him a copy of the pic and a note. I just wanted to thank him after all these years. He was very kind, and as a kid interested in Emusic, meeting and talking to him was quite a thrill. I was in awe of the Arp, but I can't remember if I got a chance to play on it or not.

What's on top of the 2600? Looks like some kind of expander. Oh, its a another 2600.

Nice story.

When I was 11 or so, I saw John Shykin (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) standing in the middle of our local appliance store making strange noises on an Odyssey. Very unusual considering I lived in a small dairy town in the middle of nowhere and in a country at the southern extremes of the Pacific Ocean.
