Interesting, but longish, let's say the first half was a good listen & then I got distracted a bit. But just to be sure I saved a copy on disc Wink

Yeah, I thought that at times too. I might take the pruning shears to it yet, but it's also supposed to be a bit soundtrack/background/moody so I'm not sure pruning it will improve that much. Maybe I just need to be happy with the mix and move on. I'll see how I feel next week. Laughing

Yes. Those were my thoughts too- but I was to embarrassed to say Embarassed
Also it sounded a little bit too Generalmidi to me. Where are those Unkle K modular soundlab swoops?

On the positive side, I reckon you could publish the music as it is- as background music for a Sky documentary on Al Quida?? Seriously. Smile

I actually have never used any of my analogue/DIY stuff in a recording yet. I think mostly because I'm not exactly sure about what to do with it! Laughing
Seriously, I still have no actual way to play any of my DIY stuff. No CV keyboard, no MIDI to CV unit.

Keep in mind though that this track is actually far from General Midi. It's mostly specific soundfonts, D50, a Tuareg loop etc. I find GM soundfonts to be quite lacking because they try to be everything to everybody and end up very thin. Even the 128M version of Fluid.

Maybe it's the slap bass which gives it that feel. (I think that did come off a GM bank! Embarassed Laughing )

But you don't need any of that midi/ cv crap. All you need is a pair of hands and some controls to put your hands on! Smile

FWIW, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop did much work with just joining pieces of tape together, and playing it back. Idea

Just reading this makes me feel very uneasy! Laughing
I think my creativity/artistry has dried up since becoming a parent.
I s'pose I'll just have to wait until I'm no longer a parent anymore. Rolling Eyes Laughing
