You have keyboard zones and keyboard split on the keys verion of the G2, thes make it possible to split out keyboard ranges over slots see the manual pages 32 and 49 for these.
Then there is the note zone module which allows you to control different parts of a patch from different keyboard regions, there is an example on page 216 of the manual for that - the same example is in the editor help as well BTW.
And finally there is the note detect module, this module will react to only one particular note. _________________ Jan

Think it's the parenthesis in the url ... thanks for telling I didn't reread after posting ... fixed it by using <a href="http://www.clavia.se/downloads/manuals/nord%20modular%20G2/nord%20modular%20G2%20V1.4%20(eng).pdf" target="_blank">manual</a> ... that construction usually works. _________________ Jan

sorry, i have the non-keyboard, rack version. midi notes comes from external midi keyboard into the g2. i have 2 osc's in a patch. i want to play one osc between the range c2-c3, and the another osc between c#3-c4 for example. |

sorry i couldnt tell what i need exactly.
i want a typical "left-hand bass" "right-hand solo" split keyboard function. im lookin for a way to use every octave of my midi keyboard with different synth macro in one patch, (through the same midi channel). for example, one octave for the bass, one octave for pads, two octaves for drummin...
i guess g2ian's patch works for that thing. it would be good if it creates more than two note zones. xfade is ok for 2. but i can create another xfade formulas for every synth part. yes i guess it will work.
roland's solution leads me to another thing. it is working as a crossfader between osc's. this macro can be used between two different pad synths to create some atmos.
i will send if i finished a working patch.
thanks for reply,
