A little info on Boiar:

Paulo Carapeto and José Soares meet.
At ESMAE (Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo) - in Porto - the concept is born.
In 1998 the first album - “Boiar 113” - is released, followed by “The Adventures of God on Earth” in 2001.
Then, the sound spread from "República do Prakistão" (Coimbra) to Berlin.
In the way, portuguese label Borland compiled a couple of tracks for a release, there’s a soundtrack for the movie “The Tulse Luper Suitcase”, part of a broader project by the same name by Peter Greenaway.
From the composition for the play “Freiheit” seen in Leipzig, Torgau and Berlin, they slide to the recreation of the myth “Faust”: a prologue for 202 hours of recordings (and counting).

Presently, with João Santos e João Ricardo (aka ocp), the re-founded concept floats through other dimensions with images by video artist Hugo Olim.

The Boiar Show is intended to be a liberating experience through sound.
Translated, "boiar" is the conscious act of floating, to waft...
If you learn to "boiar" you'll hardly sink Cool

You may hear us every Thursday by 00h00 GMT, live or played back (depending on the circumstances).

Produced by:

Paulo Santos - MIDI guitar, fx, voice, etc.
José Soares - Keys, computer, fx, etc.
João Santos - bass, upright, G2, fx, etc.
João Ricardo - old radio, old record spinner, computer, etc.

I agree but I didn't stay awake for all of it. I'll catch it in the archive. Wink
The first hour or so was great, though.

Tonight it will be ocp's show instead of Boiar's.
Everyone is away but me, so... I'll be playing back some of my compilation tracks, and if MuSE allows, I'll be using the mic too Wink
Catch you all later!
