Hi

I finally picked my Nord Modular G2X from repair today and finally I can use it to control other synths Very Happy

I tried to control my Roland D-550 with a sequencer and everything works just fine, but when I try to use the sequencer to control my Cheetahs MS6, the sequence isn't played properly, with some notes being almost mute.
Can it be a problem with my Cheetahs, or is it normal with some old modules?
Maybe the MIDI specs of the Cheetah (I don't have the Maads OS), aren't good enough to allow proper sequencer playing?

Thanks in advance,
Best regards

Paugui

You could try adjusting the release times on the cheetah, or sending a longer gate (note-on) signal from the G2.

The result is basically this one I put on attach.

First I sequence my Korg DSS-1. It only results in some notes being skip.

Then I sequence my Roland V-Synth and everything is working perfectly.

At the end I sequence my two Cheetahs MS6 (one for L channel, the other for R channel, with the MIDI Thru of one connected to the MIDI In of the other), and the result is something quite strange...
When I reduce the BPMs, everything works good (I think I cannot use it with more than 60 BPMs, or something like that).

During the whole demo, I used the same sequence without making changes to it (only during the Cheetah part I slowed the tempo).

I guess it is probably just bad MIDI specs on both the Korg DSS-1 and the Cheetahs MS6, right?
