here is a bit of improv i did tonight.. please forgive the clipping Wink

All is done on linux using a PD algorithm as a midi sequencer. I am using the Phasex soft-synth and Rakarrack effects plugin (CONVOLUTION BABY)

Please have a listen and tell me what you think!

(btw.. does anyone here know the secret to the PERFECT kick drum... I think EdisonRex knows, but he won't tell me)

These would be a great soundtrack for the "Fantastic Voyage" movie.
My only criticism has to do with the bit rate of the mp3 (128 Kbps) as it eliminates much of the detail in the tracks (depth/dynamics/definition).

glad you liked it!

the compression you are hearing is actually downsampling done one the convolution plugin... I've got a cheapo laptop, and since i was doing this live i set the quality rather low so that I wouldn't melt my CPU.

But i agree with you, the quality is a little lacking.
