Hi all!

I was wondering if there is a special forum for sound design around here? I work with analog modular synthesizers and are interested in acoustic modelling, modelling of drums, special sounds and effects.

Is the Clavia subforum the place to go? Seems like there is a lot of information there.

Having a little trouble finding my way around the forums...

Roger

Perhaps also download the G2 Demo from Clavias site, then dive into the G2 patch archives in the Clavia Nord Modular section - should be a lot of ideas contained in there.

I'd say that it may be as easy to list which subforums here that do not contain discussions about sound design. Smile

Besides the good examples already mentioned, I'd like to name the ChucK, Supercollider and CSound forums, who deal with free programming languages that you can use to make sound. There's also a Max/MSP and Puredata forum - Max is pretty cool but you have to buy it. I'm biased towards ChucK, but I think that it is the more active forum of these.

Basically the entire DIY section could be said to deal with sound design, though many of those subforums take a detour through the wonderful world of electronics.

Happy sound designing and welcome !

/Stefan
