Back from vacation, finishing up the schedule for this year's event, and been reading back over this thread.

Sorry I missed your question before Charles.

Yes we will be having live visuals at night by Michael O'Bannon. Because the venue has so many windows and being the time of year that it is, visuals will most likely only be visible after dark.

As far as a video camera, I have not heard from anyone regarding this subject. I would love it if someone(s) were able to document the event on video. I do not own a video camera myself.

Another thought that is brewing is adding a live video stream to accompany the audio stream on the net as well.

Here is the schedule for this year's event. If you have a problem with your time slot for a performance or workshop, or you notice a mistake in your name, please email me ASAP. Thanks everyone! Really looking forward to 3 days of non stop music and learning!

Note:
1.Sets are 50 minutes each allowing 10 minutes for changeover.
2.Collaborations are open to all, but maintain particular themes.
3.Instead of having an official 2 hour dinner break... we have opted to fill that time slot with workshops in which you can participate and eat simultaneously if desired. These workshops will take place on the opposite end of the venue and will operate concurrently with setup for the next block of performances. Thus, if you play in the following block, you will need to set up & soundcheck before going to the workshops.

well, the wheel turns... and despite your best intentions and plans, it rolls over you... which is to say, with heavy heart, that Burning Artists Sale is unable to attend this year. I was looking forward to renewing friendships, collaborating with some of you, and pressing the flesh with some online friends...
will be listening in, break many legs, y'all...
back to lurking/sulking...

Here is a picture of my synth as of this evening -- I just finished out another cabinet full of modules. Once again, I'll bring it to the festival.

Just updated the schedule with the latest information and a link to additional information about the improvisation seminar by Charles Shriner.

If you can not be with us in person, plan to join us on the stream and chat room at radio.electro-music.com .

Besides hours and hours of exciting and varied music, we will have some panel discussions and seminars about DIY, software, improvisation, and other topics of interest. Please join in -- you can interact with us via the electro-music chatroom.

For the last couple of months, Charles Rice Goff III and Michael LaGrega have been composing and refining a brand new set of four experimental pieces to perform at this year's Kansas City Electro Music Festival. On Sunday they recorded a live-in-the-studio album of what they intend to unleash on the audience on Friday night, July 22nd, 8 PM Central Daylight Time. The entire album, along with copious album notes and some surreal graphics are now available for free streaming or download at the link below; just click and go (if you dare) :
