lovely tune. I like how the overtones of those xylo/percussive sounds are not perfectly tuned. it makes them stick out (in a good way) and adds a lot of good character.

If you'd care to elaborate, I'm somewhat curious about what you find weird or what the strange things going on are. Maybe it would be helpful for me to hear more about your observations...

Very playful. Can't get enough of it.
Is it out of tune, or did you just use an alternative tuning?
Anyway, thats how it sounds to me.

Merci! Glad to hear that you're enjoying it Razz . From your post, another post in this thread, and my own listening, I think there are some tuning problems that I hadn't noticed (mostly) while writing it. I used mostly soundbank sounds, and the software I use plays them more or less out of tune with each other. Not sure if it's a problem with the program or the soundbanks.

I used to get all bent out of shape about problems like the tuning because they didn't fit some notion of 'high quality' sound engineering. That all changed after I read about how Japanese ceramic artists would intentionally include small imperfections into their work. I can't pretend to fully explain what they see in that but I really relate and now leave in things like the tuning problems. Unless it really is a matter of just sounding bad... Rolling Eyes
