Hi friends, I have created a ChucK application called ChucKchat. Starting out as a crude IRC-like chat program, being ChucK-based it was easy to add music and also net-looping to it. Plus it beeps when someone types your name, lol.

I propose an event, a concert, in which we use our public channels and maybe some private channels too as delay lines forming loops all attached to each other. It should be a jam, so no scheduled apperances, just people hooked up to channels all set up in some configuration of looping.

Oh, and I must tell you the best part: the chat feature of ChucKchat made it easy to send commands over the web so that we can all remotely control each other's music and looping settings. That means I can adjust Steve's volume or Jan can set my tempo or whatever.

One benefit of that is that once you're set up you can take a nap and leave your setup running, just tell others to control it remotely. OF course, hopefully we're all adult enough not to abuse this privilege...

So let's have a ChucKchat Net-Looping Concert Event! Soon!

Les

That sounds like fun. I'll definitely have to try this soon...
