I had a G1 and sold it for the G2. I don't regret it at all. I have not had any trouble getting raw or sick sounds out of the G2 and I believe it sounds much better than most softsynths and other hardware I've demo'd. There really isn't a boost in highs, either. Judge for yourself, though, like Rob said... the G2 demo is very good and will give you a good idea of what to expect. Just be sure to try different sampling rates.

I will try out the demo indeed. Why didn't I think of that myself?
I have so many nice plans for this synth. Would be a terrible shame if I just didn't like the new G2 sound.
