1 or 2 also for me please, depending on final cost Smile

Nice gesture.

You must be psychic too, i was looking at this again just this morning, as a mate is etching me some pcbs, but i decided against as the original uses the CA3080 rather than the 13700. This would be perfect.

Many thanks Fonik.

Regards

Ben

This is a great idea, Matthias. I'd like one at least, and if I can afford it, two.

A further thought. I'm an electronics service engineer, and my soldering is to a reasonable professional standard. If anyone needs a JH board bundling and testing to a professional standard, I'll do up to 2 a month, in return for reasonable donations for the JH family fund. You provide board, parts and postage, I provide time and solder; Birgit and the children get some money. An idea?

I have a stupid question -

Other vendors (like CGS) sell a 'Dual' wasp filter.

Looking at Ken's schematic, and comparing it to the JH one here:
http://www.jhaible.de/tonline_stuff/hj_wasp.jpg

it looks pretty much the same to me. Is the board you're making equivalent to the CGS twin filter, or does one need to buy 2 boards to do the same job?

Thanks
Gary (Mongo is easily confused)

not a stupid question at all.

i must confess, i did not even know that ken offers a PCB for this. Embarassed

my PCB would be exactly following Jürgens schematic + a spare dual opamp with vero area for buffers, or anything else you needed, and an ICHTYS. one VCF per PCB.

again, what makes jürgens clone special? the adaption to more common parts values, the CV section, the CMOS distortion, and the speaker simulation (RC network lowpass).
i took a quick look at Ken's schematic, and his PCB offers everything, but the CV section, which has no influence on the sound.

so it is your decision, alas, the main purpose of this PCB run (if it was going to happen) would be the donation anyways.

Another reason to build this one is that the PCB is (I presume) much smaller than Ken's, making it more suitable for Euro and Frac builders.

i uploaded a screenshot of the PCB to the 1st post. the board could be even smaller, when we went without the MTA and the power headers. or repace the MTA156 and the doepfer by a MTA100...

i will look up the exact measurements of the current layout on monday (file is on a different machine).
