Hi,

I am trying to find a source of original or replacement key switches - the type used on the LinnDrum, Linn LM-1, Sequential Drumtraks, Oberheim DX/DMX, MXR Drum Computer etc. In fact, just about every 'big name' 80's 8-bit digital drum machine uses these switches for the instrument buttons/pads (the Linndrum uses them for everything)

They were also used on some synths of the period.

No-one seems to hold any stock of these any more, occasionally used ones come up on ebay for ridiculous prices.

I can't even get a definite identification on the manufacturer or part number, though I think they were made by Omron.

There must be some modern substitute that will fit (normal 12mm tact switches are no good, these are approx 20mm square)

Does anybody have any information about these? Or any substitute part, any help appreciated here. I need about 20 to repair various machines.

Cheers, vout
