Im building the VCO and Im thinking how to make it like a Moog VCO where it is possible to blend between different waveforms? Is this easy or hard to make? Would it work if I build in a small mixer where all waveforms are connected to it?

Hi

I'm not sure how to sweep between waveforms but building a mixer is pretty easy .
When i first started with diy modular about 8 years ago i was forever needing mixers before my vcf's & vca's , when i re-built my system in 2009/10 i made a mfos simple audio mixer for the filters & vca's.

here's the link to my 12dB sv-vcf with it's 8 channel mixer , handy when wavefolders & wavefreakers & frequency dividers get added to a system Smile

Or perhaps you could put two waveshapes into either end of a pot and take the output from the wiper. You will need to use a linear pot. Make sure the levels of each are fairly equal on the way in so you get an equal balance at the centre of the pot's travel. Try a fader style linear pot so you could do some DJ style crossfades. Perhaps a diode on the way in???

Or blend a few more on a joystick. You get a lot less travel on a joystick pot- if you see what I mean- so this might take a bit more experimentation. Or have one axis as waveshape blend and the other axis could be PWM or something similar.
