Hello everyone.

I'm learning (and loving) ChucK with the initial purpose of creating a rather vast project, a project that will be implemented and shown in several interactive environments. One of them is the web.

So, I wonder, what is the possibilities of embedding a ChucK project on the web. With embedding I mean any kind of wrapper (like Java applets), adapter (like ChucK > Python > HTML+JS) or whatever technique to get it visualized and interactive on a website.

All thoughts appreciated!

Cheers,
Alexander

ChucK doesn't talk HTTP (the protocol of the web) and can't be run in a browser, so you'll need some kind of intermediary webserver that will communicate with ChucK using OSC. Doing a quick google I get some hits for server osc tcp, so there may be something you can use there, though there is a chance you'll need to make one yourself in Python, Java or whatever.

I've started a project to port ChucK to the browser (i.e., JavaScript), ChucKJS. It's very incomplete, but it powers this Web app I've made, ChucK Demos. I'm currently re-writing ChucK in JavaScript by hand, but am contemplating automatic translation as a way to speed up the process.
