Things started in this thread about hard disk spin rates in BPMs.

For that I made the patch "rpm", it was changed a bit later, but not much (and I don't have the original anymore). From that patch I took some waves that I sculpted in Cool Edit. This can be heard somewhere in the OT part of the thread meantioned above.

Later I heard a piece from one of the Ton Bruynél CDs, the "six pack" I'm currently "doing" in my car, There is some beautifull stuff on it that I had heard before but never had, but anyway there also is some spoken text on one of the CDs in which the composer explains how he made a piece, more or less, from just four notes.

As I had just made a patch with three notes (the rpm one) I wanted to try this out with a similar patch, but using the same four notes. gis, cis, ais, b. With that patch I did the same thing, recorded it and sculpted it again.

Well, results are attached.

Jan.

I like the sculpted noodle very much. Reminds me of the music of the Once Festivals. Not that it sounds like that stuff, but the spirit is the same. Bravo, Jan, you can't escape the title composer any more... Smile

Thank you guys.

When you like this, there is more of it on my web site (which seems to be up for a change).
