I would like to buy E-MU 1820M audio/MIDI interface in good condition and for a fair price.

EU only, sorry, I don't want to part with customs etc.

Payment by PayPal only.

Offers through PM or e-mail from my homepage ...

Be very careful--those are notorious for having a really bad cap problem. I believe I have such a unit, from a cold start it will work for a few hours then become useless for a week or two. I have read of other symptoms. I replaced it with a plain 1820, which is nowhere near the specs of the 1820M, but so far so good.

There are reviews on PatchMix DSP which are unfavorable, but I like it.

I don't know if you have the skills to replace the caps, but if so, it might be well worth it to get one to fix. I have heard good things (on the internet) from people who did the repairs and used high end caps.

BTW, I love the new/recent music you have been doing!!!!!

Thanks, Steve, glad you like the music Very Happy There are some new tracks in the works because I finally have some free time to do music again, after finishing my Tranzistow synthesizer.

Yes, I am aware of those E-MU 1820M problems and what you described certainly looks like bad caps on your card.

But, the fact is - I really love 1820M, already have 3 of them! The best card for the money and the best for what I need. I am using them for years (not just 1820M but 0404 and 1212M as well) and can do anything I want using PatchMix + the multiclient capability of E-MU driver is essential for me.

That's the reason I would like to buy another (spare) one.

Just a note to the seller: Although I am skilled enough to do a recap by myself, I expect the card & breakbox to be in excellent condition, without any faults, of course.
