I'd buy a paraglider. Smile

hmm. 3000 dollars is an arbitrary number.

The last synthesizer I bought was a bit cheaper than that, although not by much.

If suddenly handed $3000, I know I should pay down debt.

However, I'd probably order a M4000D digital Mellotron.

This is very general, please try and be a bit more specific on your goals, options vary from getting just a small modular to a lot of cheaper digital stuff and anything in between!

I'd buy 15 Microkorgs!!!
(just kidding)

If I was handed $3K and told it must go toward musical gear I'd look at the Moog Voyager and the Roland Jupiter 8.

Then I'd talk myself out of both of them and try to find a working or not too badly broken Ondioline.

I'm quite serious and I think that's precisely the sequence of events that would take place.

Moogs sound haunted to me and Rolands specialize in the kind of rich lush textures I have no use for. On the other hand, I love compact instruments and vintage electronics. An Ondioline would be right up my alley.

Why wouldn't I just go straight to the Ondioline? Because "everyone" wants a Voyager and a Jupiter 8 and I'd have to see what all the fuss is about. But the Ondioline is charming and would win out in the end.

Did I win? Do I get the $3K?? Razz

Last time I was in that situation, I bought my Make Noise Shared System.
