I wasn't through playing with the automated bass line from the "metropolis" I recorded last weekend. I started there and went someplace new.

The bass line is a Casio CZ-101 sound on a Korg MS1 Microsampler, hand played into the pattern sequencer, quantized and sped up. The cool phasing is an effect on my Boss BR-600 recorder.

The first and later percussion lines are Microkorg and Yamaha PSR-520 sounds I loaded into the MS1.

The horn-like lead is a Microkorg patch I found online. The female voice-like lead is a CZ-101 patch I found online.

The left and right parts are Microbrute, sequenced by the MS1.

The final swooping addition is Microkorg. Then it all fades down to the original CZ-101/MS1 bassline.

I mixed this using 100W three-way stereo speakers with 12" bottoms. It sounds good on that, but might sound shite on earbuds. Oh well.
