Reporting a bug is a responsibility and requires considerable effort. One must indicate all of the appropriate things:

    What OS on the synth
    What OS on the computer
    What version of the editor
    Describe the problem in detail
If possible, submit a very simple patch that isolates and identifies the problem.

An ambiguous complaint like "ClkDiv Doesn't operate properly on Demo 1.30 - try it". Is not specific or descriptive. This is one reason some people argued for not opening a bug forum here. If the bug reports aren't of high quality, well-crafted and specific then they do more harm than good. This can cause the developers to spend a great deal of time trying to identify the problem. I have been on several beta testing programs for different manufactures, including Clavia. Several bugs I have identified turn out not to be bugs but just a case of lack of understanding of the operation on my part. These bug reports simply waste the developers time and energy.

Please be careful, respectful, accurate and precise.

It is important to verify bugs. This helps the developers know that the problem isn't a defective synth or component. If you can verify a bug, please post as a reply to the original bug report. Please but in bold at the top of post, Verified or Not Verified as appropriate.

Update 19Nov05:

This is an independent user forum not associated with Clavia instruments.. These bug reports are not an offical bug submission system for Clavia.
