My recorder (BR-600) defaults to added reverb when I start a new song. I usually disable this reverb to reduce "mud." I also usually select relatively simple sounds that stand apart from each other and pan them to various positions in the stereo image.

This time I left the reverb on and used a bunch of thick, undulating, 2-channel, pad-like sounds and mostly left the panning alone. It was like I was daring the mix to turn into a mudslide.

Ravel called his "Bolero" orchestration with no music. This one's kind of like that, but it was fun to make.

saturation sounds pretty cool; I especially like how it builds up! Good stuff! Smile
