Subject description: panning odd and even harmonics over the stereo field

Another one,

Wasn't sure how actually useful this is, and if I rather should post it in the "experimental" section, but...

...ever wanted to pan the even and odd harmonics of an oscillator left and right? Well, here you go.

Again, a simple approach that uses an "OscMaster" module to couple the pitch of a "tone generator" of choice (an OscB in this case, but it can be whatever you want) to an expo-tracking delay (the CombFilter module). Adding or subtracting the thus delayed signal from the original boosts or suppresses even or odd harmonics. Pan, finish.

(As a demonstration, there's a deactivated resonating filter in the patch. You can turn it on to listen to the reso peak appearing on the left or right side as it sweeps over a harmonic.)

What is it good for? scratch ...don't know yet. Laughing I will try it out on physical modelling patches, in order to 'spatialize' and further 'naturalize' them more. What I like about this is that it is a pitch- and voice- specific "stereoification" rather than an effect arbitrarily applied to the sum.

cheers,
tim
