For any users out there with both a g2 and a microwave II/XT/PC, here is an alternative for the soundtower / sounddiver editors. All standard functions can be controlled (well, except for a few functions I'll never use), but no support for changing user-wavetables or -waves.

To be used in conjunction with a midi tool like MidiOx. The performance exists of 4 patches; slot A and B feature normal CC sending knobs, which have been assigned to the corresponding midi-in CC's as well (for easy use with external knob-boxes; I'm an engine user with a bcr2000). Few exceptions, these are noted in text-modules.
Slot C and D transmit CC's on midi channels 15 and 16, and these should be translated using MidiOx or similar tool to SysEx. I've included a zip of the mapping file for use with MidiOx, as well as the MidiOx profile file that I use for my specific setup.

Hope this is useful for some of you, it took me a few nights to set up but it seems to work like a charm now Cool

Edit: In the FX areas are some text modules that explain long lists of values; for example filter1 settings, modulation sources and destinations, etc. Additionally, "synth settings" options like midi channel per slot, send/receive controllers etc are very important to set properly for your specific setup, of course.

Hey Fozzie- I've got to try this on my Microwave 2.
Looks like a fun idea.
I love Midiox- best free software in the world, but why do you need to convert to/from sysex? Are not all the XT's parameters controllable via CC's?
You gotta love Waldorf's midi implementation and documentation. Complete and thorough!
