Using a Breath Controller

Like most wind models, the flute can benefit dramatically by being driven by a breath controller.

We covered the basics of breath control when patching the blown pipe.  So now we’re going to jump right to a playable patch.  Here, the breath controller does three things:

  1. Creates air pressure using the MIDI Control Receive Module.
  2. Controls volume using morph group 8.
  3. Controls the gain of a parametric EQ using morph group 8.

As an added bonus, the mod wheel will play overtones, up to two octaves higher.
