Melody Generator Module

Here's a quick technical description of how the Melody Generator module works: The clock causes the CD4017 to count out Q0, sending an output pulse out on the Melody line. Then it counts Q1, then Q2, etc. and the CD4051 MUX selects which of these counts goes back to reset the CD4017. In this way the device is a variable clock divider, producing one Melody pulse every 3 to 9 clocks depending on the values of A In, B In, and C In. This module will soon be available in our store.

This module is quite straightforward to use, simply plug it in and hook up VDD and Ground, then connect the Clock signal. Next connect the three inputs A In, B In, and C In, and finally the Melody output goes to the next module or modules in your emSynth.
